Our goal was not to be doing lists this late into the Holiday season because we wanted to make sure that you were able to get your orders in early and avoid the last minute rush. Sometimes the plans change and we realized we may have overlooked a critical category, books. Specifically books for children. The good thing is that children’s books are typically small and can ship quickly and easily, and some you can find at big retailers for those last minute runs as well. There has been an explosion in the Black Author space for children with good reason. For years it was hard to find books tailored for black children and with the internet and technology, it has become easier for authors to write books for the different niches that they see going unfilled. This is not a comprehensive list by any means and influencers like Onyx Editions and Story time with Kay are building vibrant communities with book lovers to share and enjoy books. We suggest that you check them out as well. For now here are our collection of Black owned kid’s books for this Holiday Season.
